can anybody give me some infiormation about the artist Sound Field
got a track on the compil PARSEC (oxygen records) called NO ROOTS

Sound Field is Israeli duo of well tallented artists Andy Yakovlev (aka Prosect, ICO and Sonify) and Liron Atia.
Theyr 1st track was released on VA-Satellite (Oxygen Records)
If everythink goes fine, then u could expect full lenght Sound Field album due out to 2006.
I am sure that Andy that is an hyperactive person on this forum will give you more informations.

Hey Stash, thanks for your interest.
Sound Field is one of my projects, basically it has the same vision as my ProSect project, but this time Liron Atia (The Poofs) joins me. Liron's mind expanded towards ambient and morning psychedelic music. Together we are looking to bring a new fresh lightfull music with a progressive touch.

For those who don't know, I would like to mention that Liron is back from the hospital after being there for 8 months. He was injured during the ski session at the north part of Israel, broke links in his back. And now when he's home, the situation still fucked up and I'm not sure if he will be able to make music. We still got some works we started back then and sooner or later they will be finished. Probably will be a debut album during the next year, perhaps it will be the first and the last, but know one knows where the life will take us. For performances and such only I will be able represent this act. Don't know what more I can add...

whether it s ProSect, Sound Field , Sonify or ICO
i believe that Andy has been giving us great music so far. he got the talent for it, and i highly appreciate his interest in different kinds of electronic music. i like the fact that he wasn't stuck in the ongoing wave of fullon copy paste music. he's trying to create something on his own.

Andy, you know my prayers are with Liron. I hope he gets much better soon!
It's not certain what lies ahead in our futures, but I do know whatever you put your heart and soul into... will be exceptional!

I have to chime in here, too. Andy is contributing 2 utter gems of tracks to the next compilation on my label, PsyBooty.
When I compile releases for my label, the first quality I look for in artists is that they are pushing boundaries with their music, and the ProSect and Sound Field stuff is a brilliant example of everything I look for in artists.
I wish all the best for Liron... these guys are just getting started!
So keep an eye out for the next PsyBooty compilation... Andy's tracks and the others will knock yer socks off |
