get the creamware luna II, costs about 370$ and it's a great value.

Get the soundcard that supports less latency at playback/recording - 24/96 - ASIO 2 - Low Noise inputs/outputs.
recomendations:
M-Audio Delta series: Delta66, Delta1010
Creamware: LunaII, Pulsar 3
Emagic: EMI 2|6 or 6|2, audiowerk 8
RME audio: Hammerfall 24/96
I preffer Delta - cheaper and easier to use.
I can't believe u decided to go on a soundcard afterall!
