O.k.
since it seems that no one answered my previous thread about "sound cards"!!

I'd just like to ask, how do you use a soundcard of professional level (i guess) for making trance if it has no midi interface??

You buy a seperate MIDI interafce box. MOTU and Midiman sell some.
Usually it connects thru the USB ports and it gives you a few ins and outs, depending on the model.

Quality of what?
Sound quality is obviously better on the more expensive cards.
About MIDI quality... Well I guess that a USB interface is more reliable than a simple joystick interface that is used also as a 1x1 MIDI port.

These 2 things are totally different. Don't get confused by audio and MIDI.

but if you have an old soundcard you can keep it as a midi interface, you don't have to buy a new one... And i tell you, it's not worth the extra money to get a USB interface, unless you need more ins and outs..
