Aardvark isn't so cheap so beware :0
the right thing is to visit the sites of: Echo-audio,Midiman / M-Audio,Hoontech,Emagic,Aardvark audio..
and to look exactly what you need [how many ins /outs, how much freq response, how much level etc. etc. etc. ] then to look in the wallet, and see what you can afford.
goodluck

About the latency in Echo audio's cards, i get 25 ms latency using the ASIO driver in cubase in 44.1 khz sample rate with the Layla 24. In 96 khz, i get 11 ms latency. You'll probably get a similar latency using the Gina 24 or the Mia.

about latency ....
Luna/Pulsar/other onboard DSP cards, with native plugs have latency of microseconds .. means 0 milliseconds latency... yes, 0 msec latency! creamware site say that in future these cards will load VST/DX plugs into their cards => latency will be 0 even for VSTi's :)
btw.. Luna II [without the box] costs 360$ in USA, so here it'll be about 450-500$ or above. and the card with the breakout box - 850$ ... so it'll be about 900-950$ in israel.
Project ... where did u find this price ?
..and i don't work for creamware ... :)
