Creamwear's Luna2 around 2300 NIS:
http://www.creamware.de/en/Products/Luna2/default.asp

Echo's Gina(best card imho) around same price
http://www.echoaudio.com/Products/Gina/Default.htm

Midiman's Delta 900-1600NIS(depends on model)
http://www.midiman.net/products/m-audio/delta.php

all the cards available at "Music shop" Dizengoff 70 Tel Aviv
You can allso get advise from people who work there, they are very friendly.

tdme, u have a strong pc, so u can go for soft synths all the way long.
all you need is a proquality audio card (24bit/96khz)

there's tons of these nowadays, just look terratec, midiman, hoontech, creamware sites for info, and music-shop or act.co.il for prices.

gina is long way overpriced. its performance is not better than delta's, but it costs much more...
so you can waste your money on "Echo" products, and feel proud you have the "Echo" family.

It's around 4500NIS not cheap but definitely worth the money.

Very quiet, since I have it the Cubase didn't crash once.. and I am really making it sweat. The best feature is that it's connectible to both PC and laptop PC/Mac u only have to change the connector ( some 300euro ) + has any type of connections ( digital - Coaxial, Optical, ADAT ) + 8 in/out analog makes me like it even more.

A good one

It depends.
Do you want to record stuff in the future?
If you plan to record microphones or guitars, then you'll need a sound card with a pre-amp. Otherwise, you can buy a Delta 44 or 66 (an excellent card, I have it). It's very cheap too.

thanks guys,
what i have for the card is ~2000 nis and not 4500 unfortunately...
yes I would want to record stuff in the future(or at least i don't wanna limit myself now).
why can't i do it with a card like delta (connecting a mic through one of the anlog in's and recording through soundforge won't do it?)

2. I'm gonna b in london this weekend. does it worth to buy the s.card there? any recomended store?

thanks again,

London is not so cheap - but it might be cheaper that here in Israel :)

you can't record mic just with a streight connection, it will be VERY quiet. Unlike connecting a synth - which is what it's for.

For mic's you need preamps, which amplify the analog signal.

Soundcards with built in preamps, such as SoundBlaster, just ruin the quality of the recording - addin to it noise and hiss.

philip, there are preamped mics.
depends what you need to record.
if u need a good condenced mic (shure/neumann)..
it both lots of headache and money (quiet room, levels, noise)

tdme: delta is great for this too(it has 3 modes of recording - +10db, 0db, -4db), but you'll need a preamp

bomski.
