KRK is cheap but good. I own the 8" and very happy with them, although I have a pair of dyn bma5 which i also like, much more detail but less bass fqncies. |

i dont think between the apogee and the rme babyface there is a difference in quality..
rme also provides more for the money!

matter of taste it s different sound, but never used both can t comment much, preamps should be better in apogee products,converters too for someone that like their sound , it should be less steril than rme products ( that sound already ok and maybe they improved their clock and analog path in newer products)
i never recomend the older rme products cause they enhance what ppl dont like in digital audio,sterile ,not very musical sound and not much 'depth'. imo electronic production benefit more from analog sounding convertion,hyped sound,but all these thing are subjective to taste... |

That's exactly the problem I am having, my basses sound bad. Due to this issue.
Have you gotten better results with your gear?

someone very skilled experienced and good at production will make a better bass sound with internal soundcard and shit sound box than someone with a good monitors , good soundcard but not experienced enough...
gears will help A LOT ...but it wont make ur music sound aweosme....what makes ur music sound awesome are ur skills ....
well i know it s obviously but just addin it coz in those msgs sounded as all u need to make good music is a good soundcard and good monitors...
thx-maybe ur bass s not soundin like u wish because of bad tweak in ur VST....
without interfaces and monitors s no good to work with equalizers, compresors and all those mixin stuffs...but its still viable to make fun......
when i used to not have interface and monitors a friend of mine adviced me to work with equalizers only removin frequencies...not addin them... and checkin spectrum analizers aswell...
well the spectrum analizers s good to use even with good gears imo.. i m startin to consider the spectrum analizer the paper of a sound artist due the way im working nowadays in production..a very important tool with gears or without it ....
so u can have fun those 2 weeks that u have no gear

Yes Vermeee I can see where your coming from.
I was having a bad day yesterday, was frustrated about my music sounding like crap.
But I dont know if its magic but I read a couple of posts in this section and I programmed a good sounding bassline, and looped some ideas for the melodies.
(It was like a spiritual awakening & discovering a new way to write my music and be satisfied.)
So if somebody would ask me if its worth joining IsraTrance for tips, I'd yeah definitely.
P.S. That equipment should be on its way tomorrow. UPS Express baby!!!!!!! |
