this board, as most of creative boards is "sound blaster"
this means - it is expensive when it comes out,
it is cheap 1 year later and it has no advantage for a music maker.
u even cannot record in 24 bits with it, because its A->D converter is not 24 bit (if i'm not wrong 18 bits)

it has a small advantage for a DVD fan, cause it supports many surround formats.

anyhow with the money u spend on this audigy u could have bought Delta which is professional + MIDI interface

but, if it's a birthday present - enjoy it

it doesn't matter what u start with, it matters what u have in the head.

bom.

One good advice that you can carry for all your music-producing-life :

Certain equipments are "computer" gadgets that help you make music.

Others are "music" gadgets built to extract sounds from a computer.

How to differ between both, if you are a beginner? Try to buy your gear at a music shop, not a computer store....

Good one, with sales online is

have fun!
