Hi , i search the search .. and didnt find nothing about this .. so i wil give it a go.
2 days ago i signed papers for my new studio room , and now im maybe thinking i did something wrong ..
The room is round ( actually is 16 cornered, but looks round )

I am upgrading my studio in february .. with some nice speakers .. and well i am aware that i probably should spend some money on the room acoustivcs ..But Does anyone know if it will be possible to have some nice acoustics in such a room ?..

I would imagine a round room would be good for preventing standing waves (no parallel walls to reflect/bounce the sounds).

As Boobytrip said, can you describe the room a little bit more?

The things to watch out for are bare walls, cube rooms (same height, width, depth), and rooms where one dimension is an even multiple of the other (say a 6X12' room).

In all my reading about acoustics, I haven't find any criticisms of round rooms.

Some links on acoustics:

Hope that helps!
