i have m-audio audiophileaudio interface with 24bit/96khz converters but i get very low gain signal at wav playback.what should i do?ps:i hope the card's amplifier is ok |

this is the difference between rme for exemple and m-audio... The converters :-]
just try to normalize but you need to know that it will pick up as well the noise stream

The converters are different, but low output signal is a different problem.
macdeath - how do you test if it's low? is it only when you are playing back wavs, or other audio programs?
PS: I use onboard audio for wav/mp3 playback - just when I want to listen to music.
  Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...

If you look in the controlpanel for the M-audio Audiophile there is an option to adjust signal levels on the hardware settings page. It can be switched to 'consumer' or '-10 dBV'. It could be that yours is switched to '-10 dBV'. |
