Midi singals are not audio - so how exactly do u want to put an EQ on a midi channel ?           Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...

You can only put eq on the audio output channels of the VST midi channels.
In no way MIDI can be EQ'd.

Trip - the only thing superglue said was that the guy asked if he can alter the EQ of the midi channel, and yes, there is a way, using his audio output - the same way u can add other effects ( and not the midi 127 assigns ) - and i guess he wasnt talking about GM insts, but VST using a midi channel.
i beleive thats what he meant. there IS a diffrence between the channels, but the guy that started it didnt ask the diffrences and if he can change the eq on the midi only. he wanted to change the instrument's EQ, and thats possible, yeah.

where did VST come into the picture ?
I thought he had some synth pluged to his computer or something... And basicly u cannot EQ your synth by setting an EQ plugin on a MIDI channel it is connected to.

obviously u can set EQ on VST instruments - or else they would've been software synths eh?

if this guy was talking about VST, then i didn't understand him right I guess.           Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...

you CAN put EQ on VST-midi channel.
you CAN put EQ on AUDIO channel.
but you CAN NOT put EQ on a midi channel that uses a synthisizer, if you wanna EQ this channel then trasport the part to AUDIO and then open the EQ you like.
