o.k., tommorow im buying my new headphones, which i need for my first gig. now, i have the money for both but still can't decide: sony v700 - loud, durable, yet too bassy and heavy senn's 25SP - light, great sound quality, replaceable parts, yet maybe not as durable and i dont know about it's sound blocking (outer noize) If anybody tried both - and please lets not make this another "my headphones are the best there are" thread, please let me know what you think. |

avishay, i haven't used neither. but, if u'll use the headsets for monitoring sound at home, u don't need them to be durable (and u want the best sound), and if you're playing live-sets, u don't need them to be tooo fine tuned and frequency responsive ( but very durable), so ... if u wanna do both, this is the only situation when u are supposed to have the dilemma you think you're in.. :) hope this helps. bomski.

I know only the sony. I have them, and they r very comfortable to give dj sets with. I don't know how they function as reference monitoring, but since thats not the purpose you look for, they r very good. BOM,~T. |
