Ive got the sony's and havent had any problems in the 4 mos Ive had them...
Sucks to know they're gonna die sooner though...
Fucking Sony, man, many of my friends have had major problems with playstation 2's. From what I hear they're designed to die so you have to go get a damn new one.
They dont sound bad though.

Ok .. I will not gonna talk about the sony realy think that peolpes can/must plan it to they own need and i can agree that there is no bad with the sony headphones for the salon with an piece of cake , Cigaret and coffee but this 1 realy not for an clubs and certainly not for natures partys 1- Less sound (compar the Technics) 2 - Realy delicate one , Weak , Decomposable and unstable . Now .. For the Technics 1 Read the details of both :
Technics RP-DJ1210
frequency range 5HZ-30KHZ
32
Volume power (Without pervert) 106DB
Cable (Less important) 3 M'
Now ..
Technics RP-DJ1200-
8HZ-30KHZ
Cable 2 M'
We also check the RP-DH1200 (The black and silver 1) Coming with an 5HZ-30KHZ Same with the 1210 But seems that at the volume part both are less then the RP-DJ1200 .
Lets back to the plastic theme ..
Well , All my friends with the sony are cursing the day they got to the stor and get it . Cant do nothing about this materials and the factory company build . As for the Technics can tell you (And i realy dont/cant agree with Osker246 in here , Page no' 1 Post no' 13 , About the the durability and the stability of the Technics (What ever will be the model) . I had 1 for 1 year (RP-DJ1200) And must say that from the first minute i got them and took them out from the bag they never back in there (I know many artists and dj's are keeping them in that balck leather bag) Myn was always out , On the desk (Was cleaning them some times when they was full with dust - Nothing change with the sound because of that) , They fall on the floor hundreds of times , Many djs and artists using them in many partys this summer (In and out of clubs) - Dont care to lend them if some 1 need or forgot his own in his home , Many friend ask and took it for a week or more , And belive me .. All is great , Just perfect ! . The only problem that 2 of my little dogs was eating them (Alive) And thats makes me go and buy me new , And the exactly same 1 .
Dont forget .. We are talking in here on an plastic headphones and not on a tank or an aircraft chassis .
I also dont like in the RP-DH1200 That its cover the all ears that give you a feeling of an studio and not an a Dj 1 .
We check and find that the RP-DJ1200 Got the stronger volume , Convenience and firmness .
Must say 1 more thing ! . No 1 is buying his headphones via the net (Or here in isratrance) By this advice or other , You should take yourself to an real Technics - Sony shop and listen ..
Good luck then .. !

I have the MDR V700's and have had them for over 3 years now, used them regularly but never in a DJ situation, but they still sound the same (Well, as far as I remember, my hearing might have been reduced in that period), and they can REALLY take some beating, but I don't have any other DJ headphones to compare them with.
Since I don't use them for DJ'ing it would have been smarter for me to buy some Beyer Dynamic, but what the hell..
