Sony Acid 6.0 problem. plz help.

ok, listen. i open the preferences list. i setup everything the way i think, and everything sets up perfectly except of the vst fx tab.
in the vsti tab i set the default and secondary folder click 'apply' and/or 'ok' and it's done.. When i do the same in the vst-fx tab, acid finds all pluggins and lets me choose what to do, but after i press 'apply' or 'ok', nothing has been loaded and if i open the vstfx tab the list is empty... even the space with the 'c:\program files\steinberg (or whatever)' information is deleted/gone.

acid 6.0d has the same exact problem..
