I was planning to go but when I saw that the organisation are making propaganda for this festival at MTV sory but I thought it was about spirit and music and not about commerce no thanks will not participate. |

yeah i know it s a point to discuss, but what would you do if you get free comercial time @ mtv for your festival? would you really say no? in the case its also only on mtv austria! by the way also underground lovers whatch mtv.. otherwise you wouldn recognise...

hmm.. whats the problem with sharing the spirit and music with more people? i sure you would enjoy the party!!

amm mate..tahts how u loose peopel on it  That is lame..really.. u should keep ur underground spirit alive and not waste it on some commercial sh*t..
if they asked u ..mate..can we use ur fest for promoting it..u should say..hey..go to IBIZA there is house and GIGI D agostina..u should tape him

The thing is that at the moment when becomes broadcasted and promoted by a big company MTV the spirit is gone. I mean you have a lot of electronic music festivals with good music but is organized only to make money,So I hoped that will not be the case in our scene, but like I see was wrong.

ok i want to say something to this too.
the whole thing started when a partypromoter posted something on goabase.de that there is going to be a commercial ad on mtv. this surprised me a lot, and i was thinking kind of "what the .... ? "
then i saw this so called commercial... it's less than a minute, a video of people dancing and of the party last year.
so it's no "hey we want all you pop-people coming to our festival" - thing.
and what i really don't like about the reactions is this kind of "we are the elite" thing. look, for instance, i was listening to punk/trash/metal music until i got infected with trance. and judging from the artist biographies on this site, a lot of others had a similar background - so everyone in this scene had to slip in in some way or another.
what i always like about the psytrance people is their open mindedness. and how will our scene grow if we do not accept people who don't wear om's around the neck and wear colourful clothes (i know i'm exeggaratig  ).
i would haven chosen another way of promoting the festival, but the points why i like this festival so much are still the same:
o absolutely breathtaking location !!
o killargh lineup !!
o nice people from all over the world !!
and there are always some guys who "don't fit in" but hey, show them by your example that things can be different !
it's only my opinion ...

Thereīs nothing wrong with your arguments. But for me itīs about underground and not about mainstream. So when it becomes mainstreamed i am just not interested in it, so thatīs my opnion.
Itīs not that we want to keep this scene for a few people, I am glad when I see that there more and more people interested in psychedelic music etc. Itīs just the way you promote or sell or prostitute yourself, that makes the diffrence. Itīs easy to say people are not open minded who donīt like the idea to promote such a festival on a MTV, do you have open mind and listen and understand why most psyfreaks think that.
Itīs a question to make choises like so many in our lifes, you want to earn a lot of money or you want to make something for people. thatīs it |

Im going to this festival for the first time and Im so much looking forward to it.
The line up looks great and Ive seen pictures from years before and it is set in such a beautiful scenery.. Im sure Im gonna enjoy it .
