Hi guys, just looking for some help here
As part of my dissertation for university i have to create two short films, one representing ideas of utopia and one of dystopia, I need background tracks for these and wondered if you could recommend any tracks that you think could embody the ideas behind each.
I think i am trying to find tracks that are especially uplifting or the opposite, depressing and disjointed to instantly create an atmosphere. Would be great if anybody had any suggestions.
Thanks! |

I second this. Very barren and alien sounding. Other possibilities would be:
My fist choice based on the cinematic feel of these songs:
Loscil - Cloister (Utopia)
VNV Nation - Distant (Rubicon II)(Dystopia)- The vocals are probably and exact match for the feel you seek.
Other suggestions:
Stevie Be Zet - The Closed Eye View (Utopia)
Freeworm - Steeps (Utopia)
Gaudi - Tribal love (Utopia)
Biosphere - Endurium (Dystopia)
Elph - Gnomic Verses (Dystopia)
Nightmare Lodge - Fugitive (Dystopia)
H.U.V.A. networks - Orientations (Dystopia)
Alien Faktor - Tinnitus (Dystopia)
Blink Twice - Waking the Moon (Dystopia)
DJ Spooky Vs. The Freight Elevator Quartet - Downtempo Manifesto (Dystopia)
