Hello all ur masters on audio frequencies manipulation.

Im opening that topic maybe to start a discution about sonar. Dont see much thing or many people talking bout that DAW.

I think it s great and a nice alternative for cubase for those people who are having trouble with it. It can archieve the same results as any other DAW IMO. but i dont know why its not so popular.

it would be nice to have a discution bout that daw in here for all u guys who are users from sonar and for those intereting in know that daw.
So there it goes

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for much of a discussion here about sonar. The majority uses cubase and FL.

It's a pity though since sonar is the only native 64-bit DAW which places it in a class of its own.

Personally i tried to use it and found it extremely good, something between cubase(regarding its GUI) and Acid Pro(regarding its audio manipulation capabilities and functions).

But i didn't go on with it because the preview of the samples is not synchronized with the project tempo unless they are acidized.

That's why i will never change from my beloved Acid Pro. It just synchronizes everything on the fly.

But again, never say never.............and........i will NEVER go back to cubase, that's for sure!!!

Cheers,
Alex.

Cakewalk added VST support late compared to other DAW's, which caused it to lose popularity very quickly. Now everyone is just using Cubase and Live.
