Aeon: What do you mean exactly?
Sonar has clip FX. You can insert a VST/DX effect into a clip (rather than a whole track) but this isn't exactly offline. Or you can just right click on a track -> process and select a VST/DX effect and process it off-line. Or you can just insert the VST/DX FX into the track and freeze the track. The audio data of a frozen track is editable. You can just copy/paste/cut/drag frozen audio like any other audio.
Does that answer you question?

Yeah, the right-click to a track and offline process is what I meant. Cool, glad to hear it's in there.
I asked you about the 64bit stuff in a PM but might as well do it here:
Are you using the full 64 bit capability on your system? Is it working well, or are you just using 32 bit mode?
If I made the switch, I'd want to go all the way and do 64 bit Windows too, but I'm not seeing 64 bit drivers out yet for any of my sound hardware... or the Virus TI....

Ok I just checked the SX manual and Sonar certainly covers more than that.
There is the better freeze function which makes this obselete for the most part but if you need it for any reason you can either right click -> Insert effects to have different realtime effects on different clips in the same track or right click -> Process effects to apply the effect offline. So the answer is yes and more.
And of course there are the unlimited regular track insert effects (visible from the track/arrange view) that you can just drag/drop/copy with the mouse so you can easily rearrange the effects order or drag/copy them to another track bus etc. This is all much better implemented than in SX IMO.

Well there are two things in Sonar. There is the 64 bit OS version so you can run it in Windows x64 or Vista. And there is the 64 bit audio engine for better sound.
I run the 64 bit audio engine but not the 64 bit OS version as there are no 64 bit drivers for my soundcard.

Lol. That meter is in the new version available at the end of the month. Right now we have to do with the old boring single-bar meter.
That meter has to do with the number of cores in your PC. The 32 and 64 bit version of Sonar are identical feature wise (and both come on the same install DVD). So by the end of the month, the answer will be yes.
