This was a party by spectra and it was held in a gallery in uptown NY. Was the mainroom a good space to party? yes. was it a place to have a party? no. there was no warm chillout area, which made it difficult to escape. . .(there was a patio(freezing) for smoking and other illicit activities  Luckily, however the music was way too good to want to escape from.
Gavin spun a sick progressive set(of course) that had enchanting melodies and interesting basslines. great mixing.
Peter Dijital's set was a little housey but loaded with emotion and feeling, great to dance to. hes a master dj no doubt.
Son kite live was hypnotic and beautiful. They played the trak they were trying to name, which i had only head on that clip from samothraki. IT pummeled with energy.
The vibe was nice but i wish that people did a little more dancing and a little less chatting on the floor. but overall it was a nice party...
was it just me or did marcus not play that dj set he was scheduled to do?

yep overall it was a nice party  a very god and relaxed vibe didn’t realy connected to the Peter Dijital's sound but son kite compensated for it all 
 just wanna know who farted all the time near the speakers made me wanna

The only redeeming value about the party venue was that there was no smoking allowed inside. I'm not incredibly into progressive, but Gavin played some pretty good stuff. On the other hand, Peter Dijital almost put me to sleep. Most of his tunes were uninspiring house tracks. At 5am I reawoke to the sound of Son Kite, whose sound was incredible and enlightening. It was a shame I had to wait till 5am for them to start (some people have stuff to do during the day!). And what was with them running out of drinking water?
In conclusion, It was a good party with good people in a crappy venue. It was great to hear all my favorite Son Kite tracks live and interact with fellow Isratrancers. I'd probably have to do more investigation before going to another Spectra event though. |

yup, Nothing special if you ask me. The party was ok, and the venue pretty bad... and no effort put into making the venue better either... no deco or anything aside from the simple projections on the cieling.
Music was alright at times, SonKite played some really good stuff... problem was the overall sound was not the greatest... real muddy.
Low energy on the dancefloor too... which I feel was the result of the sound and venue situation.
Whats up with Spectra parties ending early? It happened again... party was supposed to go till 8am...
7 to 8 am was supposed to be Marcus' Dj set.
the lights came on at 6:45, and the music lowered to less than half the volume... I know it was the owner of the venue who did this... but the organizers should do things in a way that if they say 8am... then it is 8am....
I dont believe Son Kite would be too happy having both their Spectra performances in NY interuped by weak organization. Sorry about all the complaining but I feel the whole thing was quite a weak attempt.
