Music will be played that inspires the mind, touches the heart and puts our body into vibration....
Besides presenting an exquisite selection of well known national and international artists and DJs, the Somuna Team has listened to every single demo that has been submitted and in this process has discovered some extraordinary talented artists and DJs that will create impressing surprises for sure.
The Somuna Team was looking for psychedelic music with a high degree of musicality, personal and creative expression, musical autonomy and authenticity. Various psychedelic electronic music styles will be complemented by some innovative, alternative bands.

Location
The Somuna is situated in a beautiful location with a stunning panorama in the Swiss mountains. We believe that all beauty lays in the people themselves and nature surrounding them. With a minimum of decoration made from natural materials we want to focus on the nature’s and your natural beauty. Thank you for coming and for being what you are.
Whenever possible we will try to use only natural light from fires and torches, in addition spotlights will be used softly to lighten up the night.
The location is only accessible via cable car and will provide a lot of space for camping. The Somuna is an especially family friendly festival and we will provide a camping area for families. Clean toilets with light and showers are provided at all times.
Creative Area
Another key part of the Somuna is the “Creative Area”. It aims to create space for encounters and creativity. Various guided workshops and a dedicated area invite you to become part of the festival and discover your own artistic potential. There will be place and material to jam, paint, learn, read and more.

The first Somuna took place in 2008 and amazed with a literally trash-free location. We want to thank again everybody who was there for their amazing discipline and the respect they showed for nature and the organisation. It was an amazingly beautiful happening. Thank you for coming and all the beautiful energies you brought with you. It still fills our hearts!
To make the Festival to an unforgetable event for all one more time we kindly ask you to respect our guidelines:
• Thank you for respecting nature and the people who work gratuitously for this festival by collecting your garbage (also cigarette stubs!!) yourselves.
• Bring as little garbage as possible to the festival and don’t forget to use the waste separation
• Park you car only in the official parking areas.
• Entering the forest is forbidden (wild life protection).
• Fires only in given fireplaces!
• Your quiet place in the dark is maybe someones lawn for sunbathing during the day. That’s why you have to use the toilets!
• Use the toilets as if they were your own.
• Use the marked ways to move between the festival areas.
• Do not bring children without earprotection to the dancefloor
• Dogs that behave problematic have to leave the festival with their owners.
• The drugs you take do not only affect yourself, but through your vibes and your behaviour also affect others. Please avoid them.

Opening Ceremony at Thursday 15. July. Thursday is especially for creative activities and workshops. Music starts Friday.

2 days - Presale: 50 SFr / 35 Euro - Gate: 65 SFr / 45 Euro (Sa-Su)
Children bellow 12 have free entry. All Workshops are inclusive.
The Festival can ONLY be reached by cable car.
Cable car costs 7 Euros / 10 SFr.

Musicians can upload Demos directly to Somuna.com
At Somuna no Demos disappear unheard in trash. EVERY single demos is listend to by at least one member of the Somuna Team. We invest a lot of time to give really everyone a chance.
Therefore we have rather strict guideline for submitting demos. For example, we don't listen to myspace sites, but expect demos to be at least one hour in length and to be uploaded as mp3 or zip file. The demo has to represent the performance at the Somuna Festival.
We are aware of the fact, that many musicians don't have webspace at their disposal and that services like "rapidshare" can be a pain to use. Therefore we now have created the possibility to upload demos directly to the Somunaserver.
To use this function you need to create your own account under http://www.somuna.com/en/connect . Then enter all your contact details in "profile - edit details". In the submenu of "connect" you'll find the item "demo upload".
There still is space in the lineup. Look at our wishlist http://www.somuna.com/en/music to understand what we are looking for. |

After evaluating several options the decision was made yesterday at 21.01 local time. The Soundsystem will be a Kling & Freitag Sequenza Line Array!
An other option was a d&B Q-System as we had in 2008. Since both systems play in the highest league the decision was difficult at first. The d&B System has set the level for soundquality at electronic festivals in Switzerland, however (yes really) we still saw potential for improvement. In 2010 we want to manage an even distribution of bass over the uneven ground and we don't want to run the system on max power so that we can improve soundquality even more. The K&F system ( http://www.kling-freitag.biz/9.0.html?&L=1 ) offered us more possibilities for less money therefore it made the race. We are sure that we will be able to offer even more this year!
