Yesterday I had 'Combofix' running to clear out some problems which I was experiencing lately on my computer.
Everything seemed to run fine again, till I find out Cubase all of a sudden starts crackling and everything involved.
Of course due to Cpu overload, but I had no problems with the exact same project before.
I mean, I didn't even come close in Cpu usage.
And now I have to switch off half of my instruments, and still Cubase is crackling and stuff.
What could have caused this?
Could it be that Combofix deleted some important Cubase files?

sounds like it, or maybe the previous damage caused problems to system files and Combofix did a "surface" restore.. at least uninstall and reinstall Cubase properly and try again, should take you 15 minutes to figure out

Well I did the reinstall and the problem is still there.
Any other suggestions?
Is there a way to see which vst plugin or synthesizer takes the most Cpu power?
Because maybe it's just 1 synth in this project, but reistalling every synth would take very long. |

I know this is probably not the same problem - but i was getting the same crackling sounds when i did some restore on my puter...
After pulling out my hair for a bit -i realised that it was actually my soundcard latency settings (they were re-set to default), and was causing my computer to choke..
Not sure if thats the same thing - but maybe give it a whirl. |

I got it.
One of my like 10 Albino instances was acting weird.
I don't know what have caused this, but somehow this Albino instance just blows up my Cpu, but I didn't change anything about the preset or whatsoever on that particular track.
Thanks for you support! |
