well, as good as midi-terranien are their efforts at psychedelic funk are far surpassed by the almighty "the egg"...if you're not familiar with their stuff they have three albums: albumen (mid-90s), travelator (essential listening, late 90s) and forwards, 2000s, produced by benji vaughn, aka prometheus, this has a few tracks you may recognise from backroom beats 1 & 2, and is a masterpiece that varies from the blissful to the funktastic in equal measure...also a handful of eps with remixes by the likes of toca disco (electro) which was later remixed by king of cheese david guetta and featured on that citroen advert with ice skating robots, milo, and the much loved, in this scene anyway, greg hunter... |

if you find the physical copies hard to get hold of i think most of the back catalogue is available on beatport...but avoid david guetta's rmx like the plague... |
