hi!! it's a good work man. I think it's a little bit too much conventional in the sound choice and composition, it's only my opinion. But it's a good darkpsy track

Did you used a wave sound for the intro? I think that the sweeping sound has to be equalized better, or use something with a better quality...

The FM leads are very good in my opinion, I would like them a lot in some of my tracks. Nice work.
The kick/bass work is a bit empty both in terms of sound that in terms of originality. It is a shame because I like the song a lot. For example i love the percussions at about 3:20, and that eerie gated voice.
And the FM's... REALLY GOOD!

Which synth did you used for the bass?
Keep on with the good work!           Fire Walk With Me

hey, thanks for the feedback =)

i used blue for the bass..and some filtering/compression..the usual =P but didn't sidechain it..just velocity of the midi.

the leads..hmm.. as i recall, they are not fm at all. one is pulse wave with a lot of lfos goin here and there, but the majority of the sound is lfo to pitch cranked up high and than +1, bitcrusher and maybe a chorus..don't remember, gonna look up the signalflow when i get home. and the other is a simple saw with almost the same formula, but sometimes the lfo to pitch is reduced to 0, and most definitely a chorus on that one =)

Have you ever heard about the synth Alien303? I use it for doing darkpsy bass, effective and simple, but somewhat limited in possibilities.

You should BUY it, since it costs about 15 €.

by the samples, it sounds really good, and the price is more than affordable, but i'm on a mac....sooo.... i'm just gonna curl in some dark corner and cry for all those softsynths i could of owned but are pc exclusive =P

but thanks for the heads up! gonna keep that synth in mind if i make the transition back to pc....and bazzism..oh, how i loved that synth 5,6 years ago....
