I've been producing for quite a long time psychedelic music but recently (two years ago) slowly moved to progressive/techno house. I would like you to review and critisize as much as you can this demo (not mixed musicaly just ideas flow).
Please help me, try to avoid words like "i like it" or "too commercial for me" or "you have to learn more". Be more specific if you really want to help me otherwise, just don't comment.
Thanks for souls who will spent their time in specific point review.

I will update the link each couple of days so stay tuned.

Heya, I've listened to your demo, I will try to avoid sounds issues.

Very nicely done techno. It's hard to criticize it cause in the part you provided there aren't any bads. So, if talking personally I would like to see in those 4 minutes more things happening, I felt quite boring. More percussion, chords and even some synth line could be cool. Also this tune should reach some climax near the end. I heard minmal techno and stuff like that, which was pretty same through all the tune, nothing really bad in it, but my mind asks for more.

Good luck.

I thought you said "not mixed musicaly"... Anyway, more highs, more clearance on the sounds (it has very "dusted" feel), try to use eq's, enhancers and more dynamic feel with compressor.

not mixed musically i meant, it is not finnished as misic! It is mixed, high are my problems, i was aware of that. I listen to much to vinyls, heh i guess!
Clean sounds right
What do you mean by more dynamic feel, you reffer to cleaner mix, that every sound will be more heard alone?

Also other thing, i don't use regular high percussion, I create it of my own in sound forge, does high percussion (hats and beats) sound natural ?

Dynamic means more drive to bass and kick, also needs some space between the percussion and other sounds.

The percussion you created sound good, more electro feel but that's not bad.

Complete this tune, it's very smooth.

Sure, i'm mixing it musically wise and removing techno parts, to more soft/house. I do listen to techno vinyls that why my music so techno and high end missed. Need to get speakers for turntable.
Anyway Zombi what sound are known ? You mean musical lines known.

in case other link dead

hey nice work....
like ppl already said work on the sound a bit. more highs spread the freqs.
and besides that i fell nothing is happening in the track. no main tune no climax.
good luck in future productions!

I adore your nickname
the great chocolaman
maybe the kick is a little bit too hard?
in the beginning it looks like it's too loud, but after a while it's ok
smooth is the word!
maybe the beginning needs some more variation, maybe some little small breaks?, sometimes some different notes would be welcome, ...

Euh I think it's a good track
very sexy           http://trishula-records.com/artists-pages/melorix.html

The point in this music is it's not an art as it's a dance music. These kinds of begginings used in progressive house for djs to mix track to track smooth(with minimal impact of fxs, just simplified loop). If we take it as an art then you probably right and it misses sounds but as i've said it is demo only so most of fx were cutted. I get such responces and i'm happy to hear that this means that trakc with fx should be nice to hear and to dance.

I will do my best! Just need to beat my lazyass!
