is it worth or just an expensive toy ?
looks nice the fact that you could work the drum out be it with a sampler or with a drum machine plug in and out of the screen and also includes the step sequencer...

i use it alot for percs (duh ^^), and its sampler function is of great use when i've been recording weird sounds from hardware synths, easy to chop stuff up, reverse, pitch up/down, assign to a pad and then jam away
i use it as a midi-controller to control the transport etc in logic too, just hit shift + control and it switches to a regular midi controller.
i'm also curious if anyone is integrating it in their live setup, since i want to make as much use of it as possible in future live-sets

I also got MK1 as soon as the MK2 came out, cause MK1 dropped a lot in price.
I use it in every track I make. And heavily rely on it for my live sets.
It changed the way I write beats and once again, I can get very creative using a sampler.
Its library is brilliant.
Works brilliantly as an insert on tracks to use its FX. I am addicted to Beat Delay, Grain Delay and Grain Stretch is also nice.
Slim to fit in my travel bag, built like a tank.
It rocks.

Yes you can insert Maschine as an effects insert on any audio track, or soft synth track and have all the Maschine FX parameters, mapped on its knobs as if you where using Maschine as a sampler.
Played a live set Saturday night, I am loving this more and more. One Maschine instance, gives you 8 groups with 16 samples, each.
You can go in sequencer mode and build your loop on the spot, cue it in a second channel on the DJ mixer and throw it in whenever you like. You can have a drum loops playing in real time and then also use Note Repeat to add extra drum sounds in, all quantized, play with a grain delay have the mix of it high and start playing the the group tune, pitch up 12 or 24 semitones, quickly add a beat delay after it, and then reverse the grain delay wet effect and great sparkly drum atmospheres on the spot.
Then use the same drum loop, with just the dealy, switch the Note Repeat to 32nds and 64ths and then slowly touch the pads with some aftertouch to have long stuttered whooshes into long delays out of a simple 909 closed hat or a vox sample. And this is with using Logic to play but having a huge sample library running along side it, where you can build loops and throw FX sounds, as you please. Anything goes really, made my live sets a lot more interesting. Love it.
Next up is loading Massive patches into Maschine. I have gotten used to using the pads for keyboard notes and switching 8ves with the Group keys. More spec for extending what I do, synth wise, besides using Logic's synths and analog synth samper instruments from EXS 24.

Forgot to add that holding down Shift and pressing Control, instantly switches the Maschine controller into a normal MIDI controller, with all your parameters mapped as you would on a normal MIDI controller. Hitting Shift+Control again, switches back to the Maschine controller. So hitting two birds with one stone.

I'm thinking to replace this with midicontroller, because i can use keyboard of other syths too and combining it with maschine's knobs could make sense.
Also i'm becoming more and more to like the idea of creating music by own hands more than just programming it with mouse, including guitar/bass, vocals, synths keyboard, or in future machine drums i hope..
