Try making them with Albino. Make use of the filters, and add delay on top. That should do the trick.

Thankz man....
I have Albino on CD, so i know what to install in my Studio tonighte....
Is it like i think?
The Trancy Parts are just a few single Notes and the rest i need to do with the Delaytime and the delay frequency??
Peace for you Tino

(astral sound from memory)
use detuned square or detuned saw oscilators (this will give you a nice rich harmonics texture)
apply loads of chorus and delay., (even more texture and harmonics)
set amp envelope attack and release pretty fast with a little short decay and high sustain., (for a leadish sound)
depending on the synth you can apply a little fm through a short attack-release envelope to get a nicer attack on the end result.
experiment with different filter types, depending on what you want exactly,.
.,
but the basis for the astral sound is harminc-rich material like saw/square oscs and chorus/flanger/phaser

For the real retro sound you need to use an all-MIDI rig consisting of 6 different (modified and slightly broken) monophonic analog synths and a sampler with 1 MB memory and only stereo outputs... sequence the whole thing using Cubase v3 on an Atari and mix down onto DAT through a 16-channel mixer with 2 aux effects and 3-band swept-mid EQ. Don't use any compression on individual tracks.

And also you can use the elevator shaft as the reverb unit. Just put a spekear on the top of the shaft and a good dynamic mic on the bottom and you have a very good Alesis reverb.
Cheers

i agree with this setup great for ols school trance leead like astral ..!

i'd have to say astral got one of the biggest studio's... all synths compressors mics whatever u can ask 4... so in my opinion u have to work good with vst to get realy good sound (some of those vst r realy good and as long u cant afford synth so its ok..)
