Heya, is anyone around here doin pro mastering jobs at a high quality and reasonable price? Im looking for some more options to use...lemme know if you can help

u should contact charles from Triptych/Solead , he's a sound engineer and work a lot in the film industry, he's also making lots of mastering for various label and got a lot of special gear and professional compressors to have the most dynamic result without loosing any quality

We had some tracks mastered by Colin OOOD and some mastered at 4CN, are satisfied by the quality of both. Sometimes decision really depends on the price deal you get for a larger number of tracks, and things like location, sitting in on a mastering session can be fun and learning experience as well as easier to give instant feedback

i also wonder if anyone here can do a free mastering job? not something top quality but something more... well, free just so i can play them on my live sets without problems. it's tough having no money, playing only on friend parties and have to pay for mastering. |

Best free mastering is doing it yourself. To learn must have decent monitors and some time and patience. Plenty of people to ask advice about which plugins to use, how to EQ, etc... then test your own master on big sound system and learn that way... search here to find threads on mastering... my advince is keep it simple, EQ >> compress >> limit... then when 'mastered' that, can add more steps in chain, some people use stereo imaging etc...
