ok original question has been solved...
now i am wondering as i have my mind pretty much set on the HR824 Active Mackie's..
though been throwing back between them and the Dynaudio BM6A's...
just looking for peoples experiences and thoughts between the two...mainly just looking for pros and cons between the two..
thanks in advance...

go for the mackies if you can afford them.
they sound more truthful in my ears and the specs are very impressing. the dynaudio´s are way inferior to mackie here. as a side note a friend of mine bought a pair of dynaudio. he took them back after 14 days cause they broke (something they are prone to do apparantly) now he has the small mackies and they have not let him down yet. |

i've heard sound only from the Mackies but what i've heard is perfect! even if the Dynaudios are perfect, there isn't any difference between perfections

thanks guys what about KRK V8's
iv'e heard there nice and people give em big wraps...but have seen a few reviews that they go loud but become loose in the bass frequencies and aren't so tight in the higher frequencies as the Mackies and Dyna's are.

If you've got nuff money for the mackies, try, TRY the Hafler TRM8 or 6's! An american firm (hafler.com) producing, in my opinion, the warmest studio reference monitor with a flat freq response, active, reliable and good-looking!
Trust your ears! |

Try to get them all together in your studio for A-B (CDEFG) checking. I did that with pairs of Hafler TRM8, KRK V8, Genelec 1030, Dynaudio BM6a, FAR AV-6, Yamaha MSP 10. Dynaudios sounded best (excellent bass response), but they were a bit over my budget. Hafler and FAR were very good too, but too expensive as well. The Yamahas didn't inspire me, don't know why, just not very spectacular (maybe they are too linear, which could be a good thing).
I got a very good price on the V8s and I liked their sound (especially over long periods of time, where some can become quite tiring, and their medium response).
However I moved my studio and now I have some problems with bass frequencies, and V8s don't allow many adjustments! So your room acoustics play an important role here.
I heard many good things about the Mackies too (haven't heard them yet), but I would buy Dynaudio. Listen for yourself in your own room/studio! |

thanks for all ya responses...
have checked out on all three and can't go wrong with any of these really...
picked up the mackie hr824's today hanging to get home to use em....
australia there is more mackie sellers so i was able to get everyone to price match better with these than the dyna's and krk's..
actually got the mackies cheaper than the dynaudios where selling for.. |

from my experience the best ones are :
Genelec 1030 and Dynaudio BM6A , but as
Ramsak d.B. said "Listen for yourself in your own room/studio!"
because room accoustics play important role in
the final sound , so it's very important . |

Can anyone here enlighten me about one thing:I have a friend that has the HR824 and he says that the Behringer´s 2031 are a shit speaker ,i also make music but with passive monitors from soundcraft (Absolute 2) and Yamaha (NS-10)!!The point is the Mackies here cost about 2000€ and the Behringer costs 550€,my question is :whats the best relation price-quality here??I know that the Mackies sound more accurate than the Behringers but i have listened to the behringers in some store here and theyre sound was like a BIG sound also (to 550 € ),so please if anyone has some good or bad experiences with this ones please report them ok ???
Regards
