just a few questions i have about reason 1&2

1. does reason 1 sampler use RAM to load samples or does it read them of disc or a combination of both ?
(how about reason 2 ? )

2. does reason 1 run better (more efficiently) on an slower computer than reason 2 or vice-versa ?

any opinions would be appreciated...

for your second question the answer is reason 1 & 2 run the same in a slow computer...
but there is an exception... the only thing that makes reason 2 slower is the Malmstrom synthesizer. this does not mean that reason 2 needs a faster pc... only Malmstrom does

for the first q... i think that it uses virtual memory (which is both ram and hard disk usage...) but i'm not 100% sure...           in search for an answer...

thanks for your reply...
i guess the more ram the better for the sampler, and i'll try reason2 & maybe i'll just have to refrain from playing with the maelstrom too much ...
