m-audio 410 firewire  really nice one!!
4 ins
10 outs
good for lives
but usb2 isn;t that bad, more than enough to make music, i've used the quattro usb, no problems |

check some review sites on soundcards.
in any site there are specification on which has firiwire not firewire , usb.

I use a M-audio Quattro for producing (USB) and it is great (Mac Os).
I guess it will work on a live not so complex too.
But if u can choose one buy a Firewire interface (it handles digital information faster than usb).
