Hi all. I just bought myself the m-audio radium 61, so finally I dont have to use my pc keyboard for production. I do have a couple of questions tho:
1. After I set the knobs or sliders to one of the controllers on a soft synth (in this example i am using fruity loops 6 and controlling the filter cuttof in vanguard), and then move the knob, I notice that the knob on the screen doesnt really move as smoothly as i move it on my radium. For example if i want to set my filter cuttof to say 50% i could do it with no problems, but if id want it to be 50.37% or any other decimal number, i cant because it would jump from 50% to 51%. I guess this has something to do with the 'Range' of the knob on my radium. On the other hand, when i set my modulation wheel on the radium to control the filter frequency, it is much more smoother, or accurate to be precise. My question is: How can I make more accurate automation with my radium 61?
2. Altho i've been making music for quite a while now, I still don't know what 'aftertouch' is even tho my new radium supports it. Please explain me what aftertouch is.
