Waves is doing the same thing as Steinberg does with Nuendo - pricing it for professional studios only.
Waves knows everyone is going to pirate their stuff, but that a professional studio will always buy, so they price their products to sustain themselves depending only on income from professional studios.

yep, very true, but f*cking 7500$ for 4 vst plugins, i think thay going to lose evrything thay build, cuz even pro studios wont buy it for 7500$ (even in 5000$) |

The reason for the raised prices is that people don't buy software anymore, so the ones that do (mainly companies that have to to prevent getting sued) are forced to pay the heavy price for a few disks. |
