Hei ppl,
I've been looking for this info but no success. Its a question about a very simple thing but gosh i cannot manage to do it. As a long time user of fruity I've been used to be able to move the FX positions over the mixer. I mean sometimes I play, search and test a sound puting effects over it or whatever but in Logic if I want to change the fx position i just cannot. I must save the personal configuration, delete the efect, open new slot for the effect, reasign it and open the pre-saved configuration... But its so borring work this way... So please give me some tips on how i can move, change positions, copy and paste diferent FX (vsts or internal logic) over the mixer environment and the channels there (bus, audioinstrument, master, etc.)
A BIG THNAXXX IN ADVANCE

As far as i know,u cant change the order,
but u could see that in its possitive side.
This limitation helps u consider what excactly u want to do with the channel..but if there is the way it could be great!

Dunno what version u're using...
But u can move the plugs with a 'hand' tool (looks like a hand) in the audio configuration.
When using Logic 6 or 7 it's also possible to save complete channel settings. |

Don't remember exactly if it's called audio configuration, but it's a screen with all channels and busses (without the faders and stuff) that contains only the used plugs.

mm well. I think I've seen this environment too. Just dont know how to evoke it in this way, cuz using the normal mix-environment doesent worked for me. Anyway I've learned that a lot "hidden" functions of Logic man can find in the "asign key" menu. There is the whole Logic but a lot of functions don have shortcuts, so if one asign them a lot of submenus apear, maybe there is the one u are speaking about?

no...i'm sure it's possible..but not in the mix environment..
It's not an environment...it's a sub-menu..
I'm almost positive it's in a menu (maybe audio) that's called audio configuration.

or (much better inmo)...
just open the Track Mixer (apple#2) and move the plugin from one possition to the other oin the same channel strip OR to the another channelstrip.
the Track Mixer should open automatically if u double click on the track in the arrange window.
look at the manual to see what is the diffrence between Track Mixer & Audio Mixer - it will help u to understand some basic Logic's structure.
Logic is most advanced audio/midi workstation and i don't think "something is not possible" rather it gives u possibility to make it in your own way..
everytime use the search with www.sonikmatter.com the Logic users dedicated forum.
good luck

As said Audio config is what you want. Its in the audio menu. move FX pluglins with the mouse and you can copy them also by holdiong Ctrl then the right mouse button and then C move to where you want the copy placed an relese. Simple pimple. One of those things you stumble over and wish you had done so much sooner.

yeah ppl. I knew the audio config. environment, just never supposed it can doi such great things!!! now i move, copy, rearange all without problem.
But I've become another problem. Its also a bit silly but anyway... A friend of mine send me a logic-audio file (.lso for PC) with some simple configuration. Eventually I've become to build up a track there and the file expand much. The problem is that this friend of mine left the mixer settings just with 7audio-inst. channels, 4 for auido and 5 bus channels. Now when I need more buses to asign i Cannot find how to do it? I copied some bus channels but it more clones itself than copying (mean that if i change a new vst on that copied bus it changes automatically the efect on the resource-bus). When I enter in the Audio-cofig window there i can see a lot more bus chanelles etc but even I aisgn an efect there when i move back to the mixer window the bus Doesent Apear!!!. My Question is if somebody knows if this issue is a matter of some visual configuration or something else...? I mean whatever I try to do, my mixer stays with jsut 5 bus channles and i dont know how to extend them? If I open a brand new file it has its original logic configuration and no problem at all... Please help me with some tips if U can!

Ou I didnt noticed Mr. Preacox's post. Thanx big master. I've looked at this page and it has really a lot matter to read, learn,, try etc. really thanx!!! also a big respect to all your first-class production over the years.
So in resume, my second question is where I can configure how much of the channels (bus, audio, a.inst, midi, etc) I see in the mixer-window. I mean If I see pretty much I just delete it. but If i see less? Do I asign them dorectly from the Arrange window, double-clicking an free instrument?...
thanx

The mixer window is a mirror to the Arrange page. Whatever tracks you set on your arrange, they will show on the mixer.
the audio enviroment channel view on the other hand, you can create new bus channels - select any chanel, copy it - and there u have a new set of channels that u can setup to be Bus channels. Using the chn parameter on the left choose Bus x.
Then if you want it to show on the arrange too, select a channel on the arrange or create a new one better, while selected, go back to audio env and right click a bus channel -> it sets the track on the arrange to be that Bus.
These things should usually be done in the setting up of your whole Logic look - so once you set it, it could be an autoload.lso .
Or you can make various settings and saving them even.
