Just click "search" enter the keywords and u will find
lots of topics releated to your subject, those stuff was
discussed a lot in this forum . . .
My personal sugestion about dj mixer for practice , is
some simple one with 2 input faders and crossfader ,
practicing with simple mixer (without eq) is much better
because it lets u concentrate on important stuff like
beat-matching , cutting , fading etc...
Btw, if u not using turntables , maybe u don't really need
hardware mixer , because with today's software u can
do all this stuff on your computer , check out "Traktor"
from Native-Instruments, see if it fits your needs . |

playing with cdj's is cheating?? so what do you want to play with??? turntables? yeah, i would like it too, unfortunately 90% of what comes out on cd doesn't come out in lp...
Candyflip, if you have the money, buy a 2 cdj100s in secondhand (250-300 euro/dollar each), get numark hf125 headphones (nice and dirt cheap - 25 euro/dollar) and mixer get a reloop rmx 2 kill - about 150 euro/dollar. that's what i got! |

I think you are very wrong, today most professional dj's use cd's, few ones use lp's... (unfortunately!)
about mp3 use, i don't know about your country, but here many dj's use them too (again, unfortunately) and get paid for it |

No, it's not the same! It's compressed wav, which means a lot of frequencies are lost. Most of them are frequencies which we cannot hear as humans, but other get lost too in the process... of course it's not 100% perfect. wav (or cd) is always better! but at 320kbit mp3, the quality is about 90%... which is very good. |
