Hello again ISRA! I'm really trying hard to make some descent progressive psy ..Here's a recent attempt of mine. I really need your feedback/crtique for the song for every possible parameter.
Hoping to hear some replies. Thanks a lot!

intro good ,bass line check good.. effects good , first tranistion was warming, vocals good, prt2 of the wave form sounds apealing nice nice acid line and leads ... ahh dont stop a 2:50 have the vocal layerd with the rest , i like the ending but i think it could also be a nice begining for a new track from 5:15..... also the begining of the track felt faster...
All good nice work keep it up i hope to hear more i think it could be longer. hehehe
PS i like your proggy psy

hey mate. nice track! good flow, nice elements.
i would increase the length of the bass notes a bit for more groove. the are a bit too short and prevent the track from really rollin..
you can also try to move the midi data of the bass a few ms to right or left off the grid cause sometimes that makes kick and bass sit better together.
some elements are rather sharp in the mix, try not to overdo it with treble in the sounds..
other than that keep it coming, the vibe is good!!

sounds good, but agree with klippel with increasing bass notes.
Also i dont like the synth with the same notes as new order confusion, same sawy vibe aswell.
That makes it sound abit like a remixed new order confusion track(even tho very different).
I think the break in the mid part could be done little bit better, maybe a synth delay fading out or so.
Also after the break i would add some new element(but thats my psy head which always want something new).
Nice with the new perc 6.40
Sounding good, keep on keeping!

Thank you so much for listening and the detailed feedback! I'v been trying to implement the midi note displacement thing..but without considerable results..ill have to try more...The sharpness could be my speakers (dont have standard monitors). Im making music on standard 2.1s coupled with a Sony MDR-XD100 headphones..again that's another problem...Thanks again for the feedback! |

Hey, Thanks a lot for listening and the feedback. That was just my idea of the track ...Also, i don't understand what you're saying about the 'new order confusion synth'. |

Yes i did a use a ARP preset from Sylenth for the main synth bit. But i guess, it isnt the preset used in this song ....Did i use it way too much ?.....i could be wrong, but i figured that most progressive psy contain a main synth(sort of theme) playing during the track..so that was my rationale behind the synth bit..anyway, thanks a lot again, for the feedback...regards, |
