cheers mate !!!
the antres vintage edition don't sound bad
i notice there is a look a like 1176 and la2a.
i ve just tested them all on drum loops and i was most impressed by the vbme160 and the modern vpme valve compressor and the 1176 look a like.
great man thank you, i'm going to have a look at the rest. |

the antress plugs are simply unbeleivable, I just spent some time messing around with the exiter, the transformer and the analoger together.......
check this out:
http://rapidshare.com/files/22566260/original_loop.mp3
http://rapidshare.com/files/22566203/antress_ex-ana-treans_Rendered.mp3
I was playing with the knob of the transformer and some good stuff came out , but i didnt record the automation.
This plugs are cpu hungry
I'm with 2.4 core 2 duo on an empty project with a drum loop and the 3 plugs , it did use 7%
thats a lot when you know what a cpu like this can handle
I think it sounds great though so this tools are fantastic. |

well, i know Antress plugins from the the start, and when he first released them thay sounds not so good(-2db in 10k, alot of bugs, release&attack tuning problems..) and now thay sound just great (well, not as the real hardware units but good tools for tracking)
the units he try to "emulate" are:
ModernVFME = Fairchild 670
ModernVSME = 1176LN
ModernVDME = DBX160
ModernVRME = Manely Variable (my fav)
ModernVPME = Phonix
ModernVLME = LA-2A
by the way, Antress plugins sounds great mainly on drums.
also The Nebula is realy cool bcuz you can capture analog/external units and thats realy halpfall if you have gear at home/work and wants to use it on more channels....thay captured an Avalon747 and some nice eqs there...
btw, if somone wants to share his gear, that would be great

I was thinking the same thing.
Seriously. The looks of a plug can have a huge impact on how we percieve the sound.
Close you eyes. |
