Hi ISRA!

Here is a remix i made for "Oscillations" by Subaqueous for a remix competition. Being a learner, i'd really appreciate some feedback, criticism, etc of my work; especially with, how the mix sounds ...
This is a experimental/ambient/morning-ish, progressive-psy remix...I hope you like the track...

Waiting for your feedback...
Thanks a lot!

very interesting track. the mixture of styles totally works, as the track sounds cohesive and the parts flow well into each other.

the reverb in the beginning sounded a little harsh to me after a while. it needs to be more lush. but my biggest complain is the lack of lows in the bass. i mean, it sort of works here because the track is kind of experimental. but still, it feels like there's a hole in that range. it just lacks body. and without the body, it sounds kind of clicky. the kick is not that deep, so you i think you can let your bass be... bassier.
also, when you go back to the proggier part around 3:51, i think you can do more with it, introducing a few more elements after a while (and perhaps dropping some off). as it is, it sounds a little static.

but overall, i say this is a pretty creative track. i enjoyed it.           https://soundcloud.com/dead-end-dance

shellbound - thank you very much for the feedback!! the bass-sound problem could be my speakers; i still need to invest on good speakers. However, as with the kick n bass, as evident from my other tracks, i was tryin to experiment around; i wanted a clicky kick, though it might not fit well with the overall idea of the track. Anyway, thanks a lot for listening!

I'd love to hear some more feedback about the sounds and the overall mix-down from different people.
Thanks again !
Cheers!

its def sounding better, but you still need to fix the bass mate, that is THE number ONE thing! It needs to be VIBRATING LIKE CRAZY!!! look to some of the threads on the production forum for making bass, increase the decay on that guy, and see what happens. Compression and more low end on both the kick and bass will aid you           --

Equilizyme: Thank you so much for your time and valuable feedback!! Guess what? your solution might have worked....it was the decay knob; i changed the kick as well and the overall mix-down......Thanks a lot again..

here is the song after the suggested changes - So is the sound conflict solved????

yes! much better! the bass is much more defined. It still needs more presence I think, maybe some parallel compression, but it is well on its way!

this track is so cool man, i love the birds at the end           --

I really, really enjoy that track musically; Very creative, and also with knowledge of musical history; however: the production could still be more full and punchy (which may be a combination of equipment and experience...); Good Work!
