good good vibes all around, 3000-4000 people attended. and what a niice vibe.. in japan, there are a lot of parites these days where a whole bunch of people go just because its the 'in' thing right now, (well raves have been getting much more mass media attention these days) , and some of these people have no PLUR feeling at all (i mean fighting in a party?? come on.), so looking at the attended people from that perspective, it definitely felt like a quality crowd.. got to the party at 2:00 saturday, rain rain rain.. pouring rain at one point. but it let up (thank heavens!) before nightfall..for the first hour or so, they would play some acid jazzy, mellow stuff. heard some bjork and prodigy.. the real pounding started around 6:00ish, then straight on through till the end. well.
bio-tonic & gms, killer.. it was like a fukin rock concert where up near the dj booth people people people.. and mud mud mud.. stayed in the back where the grass was still green, and stomped and jumped around.
dimitri played the sunrise set.. sooo niice.
well the sound was pretty much what i expected, defintely made me happy, felt very lonely on the way back home. good parties feel soo much like TAZ (temporary autonomous zones) that when u leave the place it just feels soo sad... in my opinion, it ended waay too fast.. solstice always used to be 2 nights, so this summers solstice was just too short!! but a hugh thnx to Solstice crew for making such a quality party!! the next festval in japan will be vision quest, 9/18-20, by far probably the biggest one in the tokyo area this year... bom
