I have some friends at the party who have said it is incredible. The music, the vibe and the site are all said to unbeleivable.

Any reviews from people who were there? Or photos, as my friend lost her camera !!!!

That's affirmitive Nadi,a full-power mindblowing experience !!!

Location was great, green fields all around,a very cool Chill-out area with a good soundsystem, big food-court with lots of options, and the main stage area was killer, good sound and great looking stage, with quite a trippy deco all over.Plus 4000-4500 rocking ppl made it look very nice...
so as u can see orginization-wise i think the guys made a a very good job.

Music wise the festival sure had everything for everyone-lots of fullOn from night to morning time, but come noon progressive beats started roaming the air and did not stop until sunset(dark music fans got their blood-thirst satisfied with the wrath of azax and others )
and the Tim Healy set - that one would be remembered for a long time.whatever he was playing,it had NOTHING to do with trance, yet the dancefloor stayed full during all of his mamoth-sized 3 hour set...the man is a star.

Other highlights for me were the Emok set(he replaced the missing FREq and did the job well)and Oforia surprised me as well, his new stuff aint bad at all.
i missed nadi's set and the Sub6 live, but i heard they both rocked bigtime.

Hats off to Du,Raph and Ariel for pulling this amazing event. it topped the already legendary 1st Solaris in every parameter.

See ya in the next one

Man, what an amazing festival..

I am tired, came back today, but just a few points:

bad: (not many)
- sometimes the water in the bathroom stopped working
-expensive food
-clumsy and annoying ´product-specific festival money´

good: (so many!! I cant even remember)

-music.. I was there mainly for the prog.. Even if there werent sooo many, still it was very very good.. Tobias and Emok, Carbon 23 , Tati, Claudio Brio and SPECIALLY TIM HEALEY were amazing.. House music all over the dancefloor..
With tim playing, I saw an energy on the dancefloor I had never seen.. People were laughing and smiling, playing with each other, cheering and applauding at almost all the tracks! The guy has some charisma, playing with the crowd, and even distribuiting cds in the end! Congrats!!
-Location.. Very nice green fields all around, trees, lake, hills... Trippy place..
-Good infra-structure
-Good sound-system

if I remember some more things, I write later

Next year, Im there...

I already posted this on the Brazilian section, but here it goes again for you guys

I just have one thing to say:

Tim Healey! Tim Healey! Tim Healey!

Now seriously, it was by far the best moment of the festival! Unbelievable!

Concerning the rest:

*** Chill out - Beautiful location and with excellent sets

*** Deco - Very nice

*** Food and Beverage - Many good options of food and the usual prices for festivals

*** Bathrooms and showers - The only negative aspect of the festival in my opinion. I heard tons about those at Solaris 2003 and how good they were. The bathrooms this time were not always clean, especially at night and early in the morning. The number of showers were not sufficient for that many people and there was lack of water sometimes.

*** Lives and Dj sets - In addition to Tim Healey and his proggy-house-electro-3-hour-vinyl set, all the proggy presentations were great! And Sub6 does not require any comments, truly amazing as always. As for the rest, everybody did a good job in general.

*** People - Always nice to see friends we haven´t seen around in a while. Festivals are definitely the opportunity for that to happen. There were also some kind of out-of-place people but that truly did not affect the spirit of the event in my opinion.

*** Trash on the floor - It´s still unbelievable that we find trash on the floor... I wonder when people will change their ways about that and throw trash on the trash cans.

All in all, I had a great time and the festival was great. Congrats to the organization!

i don't even know how to start...

negative points--> just the bathrooms, and in the first and second days... after that, they were much better. Oh, and a little bit expensive food, but just as i expected.
A little bit more of 'pillows' at the chill out would be better as well.
Trash on the floor as said above ;(

positive points--> very well organized festival!!
Security- they were so NOT rude... just liked it a lot!
Decor- very beautiful... at night, it was just AMAZING.
Dancefloor- not so far from the campings, the ground was a kind of sand... liked a lot.
Soundsystem- EARBLOWING (do i have to say more?)
Site- the place was very beautiful, full of green, lakes, and the sun was shining the whole time(at the night, the moon and plenty of stars where colouring the sky). No rain at all, very warm at the day, and a little bit chilli at night.

GIRLS-> u wouldn't believe... there were sooo many beautiful girls... brazilian style...

Line up -> No words to make u feel what a felt over there... all lives and dj sets were very nice, and some of them were just UNBELIVEABLE...
LIVES:
PSYSEX (Oh come on Yoni and Goblin... such a PERFECT live, very hard sound on my ears... BEST LIVE I EVER SAW)

SUB6 (very nice groovys... great great live)

WRECKED MACHINES (gabe's sound gets better each time I hear it)

SKULPTOR (some brazilian touch on it... just liked it a lot)

SETs:

TIM HEALEY (let's just clap our hands for 1 hour to this guy... he really really played an extraordinary sound, never ever seen before... the most aplaudded in the whole festival... 3 hours playing whatever sound i can't identify... just brilliant. Just unforgetable)

AVI (much better than his live, astrix made an amazing dj set)

Dimitri Nakov (oh come on... he has the perfect technique to mix... always a great set)

Simon Postford(he was the surprise attraction of the festival, not announced on the line up, even during the festival... He played on the last day, and i was packing my stuff when i heard some shpongle stuff and got curious... so went to the dancefloor and he was there... i almost got mad, and he freaked me out with his dj set.... just great as always)

So many good things to say. I could be writing hear hours and hours on...
Congratulations to the organization!!!

Nothing much to add to these great reviews ...

I just wanna mention Sarchas´s (e-feelings, Brazil) DJ Set - WOW! Dark, Night-Style .. simply mindblowing!

Just wanna thank all people that were involved - Organization, DJ´s, Festival Staff, and ofcourse - the wonderful brazillian people ...
Came all the way from Israel for this one, and no-doubt - Solaris 2005 was an experience of a lifetime!

Peace,

Well I can't help to notice there's one or 2 things more to add:

>>>Best:

The dj set from Eyal (he mixed just perfectly) and also the one from Yoni and Sarchas (both had great groovy tracks in it - I went crazy that night, partying all by myself in front of the speakers).

I can't forget about Emok: He played an amazing set... It made me forgot about Freq's missing live act.

I also enjoyed the dj sets from Avi, Golan, Tobias (or Daniel Sun - who wasn't there?) and Rodrigo Leal (the only one to play melodic tracks like the 'Bizarre Contact style'... and some others like Lívia, Ohad, Nakov and Monro's set).

By the way, Psysex made the best live just like in 2003 (along with BLT and Psycraft that time).

>>> Worst:

-> Bamboo live - what happened to the other guy??? We can't even compare this 'fake' live set from the one from Tribe/May 2004. What a disappointment!
-> Bathroom numbers and conditions

I hope for the next event the organization bring more artists like Tim Healy, adding european progressive, electro and house-style tracks to the line up. And let's bring enough bathrooms with warm water to everyone.

In general it was a very good festival and it had a quite different taste comparing to the legendary one 2 years ago (who was a lot more special for me than this year's one).           Rafael

ok, back in germany and starting to recover
heres my own review for this great experience:

i travelled 11 years ago for 6 months in brazil but this was the first time i played there so i had mixed expectations cause i knew the brazillians are happy ppl but i knew also that normally they were much more interested in isra full on than proggy.
I was more than happily surprised from everything!! excellent production excellent organisation, especially knowing the hard conditions to make festivals in brazil, great drinks!! no smoke .

so now for the detailed review:

location: a hill on a green vally surrounded by mountains and sugar cane fields.
the festivals area was very big and contained apart the main stage and the world music stage also a large, shaded camping area, a cinema area, a massage parlour on an island over the river, and even omega gliders to glide across the river!, a big "food temple", some shops, bar in the main stage and the best bar in the world zone! and the only one making coctails!!!
in the absence of smoke i decided to settle down in to the worm hands of vodka/cashasa and their fruity friends

sound: in the main stage 2 walls of speakers hung in the sky accompanied bu a wall of basses under the stage created a very phat and pumping sound, exactly what a festival needs!
in the world music stage nice sound also, although at times it was just too high for a more relaxed stage of this kind, but altogether was really suficient.

food: nice tent with variable options such as brazilian dishes, macjunk food station, spagetti and co, vegetarian stews, ice cream parlour and another small bar. since i didnt pay for food i cannot estimate if it was cheap or expencive..

crowd: around 5000 ppl a lot of party heads a lot of "normal looking" ppl but excellent vibes and support from almost all ppl, a lot of tourists, i met ppl from israel, denmark, schweiz, germany, portugal to name a few no reports of stealing or violence at all!

music: well it was one of the best organised line ups i saw especially for a 5 day festival! they kept almost all along the way a good well programmed proggy/groovy/not dark/uplifting daytimes and more powerful nights and mornings creating the best balance possible for the ravers and not "squeezing the lemon" too much that shows responsibility for the ppl also!! way to go!

from the sets i saw i would say the best were (in no particular order):
live: saw only 3 and all were fabulous!
sub6 : not the first time i see them live of course but had a great flow to the music and great show for the people with the "drum banging effect" ppl were mad on the dance floor !
psysex: believe it or not i woke up for the live went with the guys over there, i was supposed to be the picture maker but soon lost my duty with a vodka energetico (the brazilian version of vodka redbull) and swept away into the live act. was very powerful and although it was not full in the beginning it still had almost the best vibe in the whole festival, with big support from the israeli cheerleader team was certainly the strongest live in the festival!
true to nature: first time i heard Jokke and it was quite good and excellent for that time of the day, with a straberry caipirinha in hand i was swaying right and left to phat acidic synths and heavy groove, not fast but very moving!

DJS:
Tobias: closed the second day of the festival with a typical discoish set perfectly mixed of course which really got the crowd going! was supposed to play 3 hours and that turned into 4.5 hours cause the ppl just wouldnt let him go.. great one.

Tim Healy: WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWWOWOWOWOWOWWOW brilliant set!! had nothing to do with trance of course, 90% of the tracks were not 4X4 but it was great electronic music set without limits or borders just pure fun, especially with the charismatic appearence of tim playing his little game with the cooperating crowd.

dimitri nakov: one of the big surprises for me, played a not so fast very groovy set, really different than what i heard from him, i think he surprised himself also a bit..

James monro: i was waiting to see that also check on our old chap jamesy, well he is in pretty good shape i can tell you played a very tribal groovy afternoon set before tim healy making this whole afternoon even more magical! great music selection great mixes great flow.

ofer (oforia): while waiting to psysex set, accompanied by a kiwi kaipirinha i wanted to chexk the new sound of ofer and was again very much surprised, he played a fast and furious pro-morning set which changed into powerful morning as soon as the light came up in the true spirit! excellent one to be remembered even though, again there were not anough people to enjoy it at that time.

emok: gave a typical iboga set full og tribal and pumping tunes, although it was less flowing than other sets i heard from him i think he was tired from the flight still.. but generally great sound!

Yoni (psysex): oh my god its ACE: a very cool afternoon set, being the set after tim healy was a very hard task to any dj believe me! and yoni overcame it very smoothly with a very groovy set turning to more fullonistic direction only in the last 30 minutes and overall great selection great mixes went good with my ananas kaipirinha

Rafael dahan: one of the organisers, played and afternoon set before true to nature and did a great job, combining pumping proggy tunes such as freq, with soft full on and created a really good atmosphere in the dance floor.

Carbon 23: played on the first night before my set : played really cool housy clubby set with nice deep feeling into it, was really flowing and crowd seemed to hold up to it better than i thought they could.

thats it all in all great festival thanks to du, rafa, and ariel for making it happen!
