I want to try making music (no experience before) and wanted to know some good software for making dark and twilight styles of music? |

the software is the same for any kind of psy trance, its just how u use it. im able to produce heavy deep dark basslines with cronox3 _not gonna use vb1 ever again!
the thing is to use low and short notes in the kbbb fashion. same thing for leads, im also getting my dose with albino 3, discovery and some pad friendly synth / atmosphere-absynth-gonna try nexus...
to complete im using halion sampler for twisting some already twisted fx.
ah and clever use of special vst fx like dblue glitch/not too much, and compression-distortion-bitreduction- for hardcore leads! |

i think he was talking about a DAW.
bro, (ohmshantiohm) its not the DAW.
all daws are the same, its all sequencers.
its how you use it.
no daw will write a song for you, or write melodies (of course, you can use randomizers, but its very cheap)
experiment with some DAW's like: Cubase, Logic, Reason, FL Studio, Energy XT, or Psycle, check which one makes you feel more comfortable, and stick with it.
if you were talking about vst's, its the same story.
you can produce very deep stuff using PlasticZ or Albino, as you can using the Nord rack 2, or Predator.
(btw, if you are looking for fucked up sounds, checkout Bizune VST by Time control Productions)
