my favourite arp is the one from energy xt. energy xt is a standalone modular host, but you can load it as a vst aswell. Fire up any vst, wire the arp module and there you go.

Imo energy xt is fantastic for that stuff.

the kvr forum does explain alot of things that you can do with a modular host.

you could look at era too:

hope that helps.

Last vst harp i liked was arp2600.
Really fat sound and offering programmable steps note by note.

are you talking about a vst that load onto an audio track? (eg. use a sustained note, then load the ARP over the top of it, kind of like a slicer?)

Besides the Novation Supernova 2's arpeggiator, I use FLStudio (very good to come up with new arpeggios and chop the notes/chords) and Logic's arpeggiator.

I'm at work now, so when I get home I will make some tutorial and I send you. I'm not the Logic's master, though. I've been using it for only 2 months. I guess I have a Virus environment, if you want this one as well.

From Sonikmatter Logic Forums:

Setting up an arpeggiator in Logic for a soft synth or external synth is basically the same. The simplest way to set up an arpeggiator:

1. Go to Clicks + Ports in the Environment window.

2. Create new Arpeggiator.

3. Cable your midi input object to an arpeggiator and then from the arpeggiator to your sequencer input. Now any incoming midi is filtered through the arpeggiator.

4. Set up a softsynth on an instrument track, select it in the arrange window and get busy.

I hope this gets you going!

Even so, I will make something like a tutorial, ok?

man i ve tried the previous post and didnt worked.Although i connected the arp to the devices and heared sounds.
I think my misunderstoonding is is the sequencers input.
When i load a sequencer input it automaticly replaces one deafult(not sure its name r8 now) and midi goes through all but no harp function works
Well thx for ur time spendong fot the tut
respect

ana3imandros, it's a pretty simple step-by-step, so I'm sorry if it isn't something more complex. You can change the keyboard object showed on the picture for your hardware controller.

From sendspace.com, where I posted it:

You've got a file called Logic5.5-arpeggio.zip, (206 KB) waiting for download at sendspace.com

You can click on the following link to retrieve your file:

http://www.sendspace.com/file/sr0yzp

The file will be available for a limited time only.

I hope it helps you.

I'll record MIDI arpeggios from Supernova 2 and Microwave XT as chord C and key C (so, it's pretty easy to transpose for other chords/notes) and I'll post on sendspace soon. If someone has a CS6x or Motif, could make the same? I've already had a CS6x, but I sold it and didn't record any MIDI arpeggios from it. We could start some new project (something like the Kick project), like MIDI ARPS from Hardware. I like to use arps from complex hard synths (Motif, Supernova, Q, Karma) and come up with new stuff from it.
