Not much to say because it's different with every person I've worked with. All I know for certain is that with time, workflow gets better. Also, other people are generally both busy and lazy. |

Its great working with my best friend on tunes. We are collectively living the experience of what we both love most in life. Its like going to a great party but we are sitting in front of a computer in a dark room getting stoned and just getting lost in the music. When a late night studio session goes well, I wake up with the biggest smile on my face the next morning.
The world has not chagned...the wars go on, the climate keeps getting worse, the economy crisis gets a tighter grip around my neck, everything is as shit as it used to be the day before, but I am overflowing with positive energy and all the crap that surrounds me, was never there in the first place.

I just did a 2-man live/dj set with my roommate last weekend. We used one laptop with Ableton, a Virus TI, and a MIDI controller as a DJ mixer. We split Ableton into two halves... on one side were all my samples, loops, and midi files, and on the other half he had the tracks he wanted to mix as well as his own samples. It went rather sweet.

i produce music by myself, but this saturday i had a nice live collaboration with my friend who played on yamaha DD-65 drums, and i was having fun with behringer uc33 and a dj mixer. it was really intense performance with a lot of energy involved which we channeled to people. so, yeah its better to do produce/perform with someone, 4 hands can do more than 2
when producing with my friends, we do track on that way that everybody do the thing that does best... drums, loops and percussions are usually my best works

chuck sits in chair, i roll a spliff, I yell at him to turn this change this move this or how about this *MAKES STUPID SOUNDS OUTLOUD WITH MOUTH*, walk out of the room , start to play some video games, feed the cat, do the dishes, put a t.v in the attic, yell at chuck to help me put the t.v in the attic, yell at chuck that it's my turn to "fuck everything up", delete half of the things chuck made, reverse 25% of things , work on one synth for 40 minutes on a 1 bar loop, delete it, chuck has bursts of inspiration and babbles incoherent gibberish that somehow translates into me creating some stupid percussion loop.
