I will be there from mid April to mid May. Any tips are most welcome. My music styles, are ambient and twilight to dark trance, mostly around 147 bpm...

Hey Upavas,

I've been travelling around NZ for four months now and I haven't seen anything psytrance related anywhere. There's a scene, supposedly, but it seems to be very small. There's an event in February (in the South Island or the Coromandel area, don't remember off the top of my head). That's the only event I've heard of here.

Best of luck, anyhow.            Aural transmissions from the deep forests of Sweden

Like this dude said. There's a small tight scene in Nelson, where folks like Grouch and Filthy Tomo come from. Dirty, greasy bastards, but with a good heart. I don't think either of them are there at the moment, but just head on over to Nelson and do some research on where they throw their regular nights. I'm sure you'll come in contact with someone...

There's no "scene" or regular Psy Nights in Nelson at all. (I have lived here for 6 Years +) A few smaller events in the summer.....
Your best bet for gigs/a few events would be Christ Church Followed by Auckland. Or the smaller private Gatherings in Golden Bay.
Advice for getting Bookings, play Dubstep or Minimal Tech heheh           www.soundcloud.com/tripinstumble
