So instead of all the negative vibes and trying to force people to change their views, let's be nice here and post why we like our fav styles:
Dark/Night/Forest:
I like this style because it:
1. Reminds me a lot of the styles I likes in the 90's. in particular sounds like those found on Tantrance Vol. 6 n' 8,Dementertainment, Distance to Goa 9 and Destination Goa 6 which are some of my fav old school compilations.
2. I'm natural a very um distracted person since my assid days, my mind is all over the shop and this style seems to keep me more interested and focussed, and even calmer.
3. like my metal collection, some of the higher BPMs and horror themese help me burn up my aggression and energy in the gym and going for runs.
4. I think this music takes me to a psychedelic and trance state in many ways mroe easily than progressive/full on and I find that this style works really well on the dance floor even for a lot of my non-psy friends, who cannot stand the more repetitive minimal sounds.
Goa:
It is just beautiful. nothing more to say. I find with the early Goa and Psy sounds you just either love it or hate it. Simple.
Suomi:
the new Goa for me, or maybe the new Psy. I enjoy this much more than a lot of the suntrip I guess because it is more fun and exciting, whereas suntrip achieves it's goal of keeping with the tradtion of old school Goa.
No offense Suntrip, I do enjoy your outputs, but this style for me just catches a bit more what I liked in the late 90's 
Twilight:
I like this style becuase it has both elements of the darker sounds in night/forest etc. combined with a bit more melody and a bit more pure "fun". These two styles also I find can be mixed well to make a very nice extended journey from twilight to night time.
Psygressive:
1. For me psygressive like Zenon and early Iboga is like a laid back version of the psychedelic night sound from the early era. Many will say that this is an insult but it is what I find, and the grrove and funk/jazz influences make me smile always and dance 
Techtrance:
1. Being a big fan of industrial and noise music techtrance for me just takes these styles and makes them a bit more formulatic and easier to listen and dance to. Great vibes and atmospheres in this style!
Ambient/Chill/Dub:
For those Sunday arvos when you feel down or when you are cozing up on the couch with your girl, nothing workes better than some smooth ambient/chill/dub, or even with some beers with the boys with this in the background. It's still awesome and psychedelic but not as invasive.
I have not really found anything spiritual in this music over the last 13/14 years. Not in Europe, India, Thailand or Australia. I guess I have my own belief system firmly set and do not need to try and explore other ideas.
My memories from this music are mostly of good times, and my "awakenings" were more focussed on life lessons and also realisation of loved ones and what they mean to me.
Anways, just though I'd put something positive instead of all the hater shit going around 
I guess I do also undertsand people have different tastes, and if you like the new Prog/Minimal and Full On then that's your tastes.
