I think most of the proggressive artists nowadays has been shuffed under the carpet for more and more psychedelic releases... underrated or not i dont know, but not enough attention in my opinion...

Shulman
In Search of a Meaningful Moment was absolutely brilliant. I think that is one of the most musically and technically creative CDs the psychadelic scene has produced, with "Are You Shpongled?" and a couple other flawless records.
Yet I don't hear as much buzz about him as I do about cookie cutter full-on artist #542 in the average week.
Bluetech
Prima Materia is another record that I consider just brilliant. Fusing of dub, IDM, psychadelic in a supreme manner. The final piano track is one of my favorites too.
Depths of Despair
Now this is that type of music that you can't quite categorize... in a good way. So many influences and great ideas. There really isn't enough moody downtempo, and not enough people demanding more! |

You are very wrong here, just check out the reviews of this album in the forum and tell me if he's underrated.

hmmm - i liked the In Search of a meaningful moment albumn - but I thought it was a sphongle ripoff. It seemed like almost all the same samples were used and the sounds were very similar to those used by sphongle. So not sure if cookie cutter cannot be used in this context too. |

See what I mean? _To me_ calling this album a shpongle ripoff is pure garbage because I feel it is extremely innovative and has its own unique style that is sometimes subtle but always brilliant.
I think it is underrated because people always call it a Shpongle ripoff. |
