I'll forward it to a friend of mine who looks for something like that. Is it Pro Tools compatible?
Everyone in the world is doing something without me |

The EMU soundcard? No. You need either Digidesign or M-Audio soundcards for ProTools.
PS: The keyboards will be compatible with everything of course.

Hi I would actually possibly be interested in the 1616m
But:
http://www.thomann.de/de/emu_1616m_audio_system.htm
the price for the 1616m is 500Euro which is 2700Shekels. And there I have three years warranty.
Beside that, if I buy in germany, I can subtract about 10% because of different Taxes. The shipping from thomann costs like nothing, so I will get a new one almost cheaper then yours...
I don't know how the prices are in Israel. But if you want to sell international you should check the prices from www.thomann.de and convert them www.xe.com
Good luck
Most of my music for you to download at:

C3PO: Unfortunately you are right with your last comment. Your card is second hand which means, if it is in perfect condition, it should be about half the price of a new one. That is just the way this works. You are asking too much.
Also, you should remove the "(with ProTools HD192 converters)" comments because that is just NOT true. EMU are twisting the truth with their marketing.
These cards, like ALOT of prosumer audio cards, use the same chips as the PT converters. Unfortunately, the chips is the easy part. Getting the rest of the design right (shielding, power supply, analogue path including filter(s), gain staging etc)) is the harder part. Also, the spec figures that EMU advertises with come straight from the chip specs. These do not represent the real values for the entire converter.

I think my price is too low compared to whatever i've seen on the internet lately. I'd really like to see that i was wrong.
Prove me wrong please, don't be shy.

EXCUSE ME?!!
WHY SHOULD I REMOVE IT FFS??? WTF?
I've quoted it from EMU's OFFICIAL website, and if you really think that EMU are "twisting the truth" - PROVE IT!
Here's the source: http://www.emu.com/products/product.asp?category=505&subcategory=491&product=15189

Ofcourse these cards do not represent the real values of the entire ProTools HD192 converter box, hence it's uncompatible with ProTools software. It's obvious that you can't stick a $5000 converter in a $500 soundcard, but don't tell all this to me - tell this to EMU ffs. As long as this info is written on EMU website - i have all the rights to quote it wherever i want.
By the way, have you heard those cards personally? They sound just amazing compared to most today's alternatives in this price range.

No need. They know perfectly well. Of course the designers of the hardware don't do the marketing ...

Yes I've heard them. They are not bad but don't sound like Digi 192 I/O. (Heard in the same studio).

Same as EMU/Creative also happened with Digidesign/M-Audio, Adobe/Macromedia, IBM/Lenovo, Compaq/HP, Marvell/Intel, Apple/Emagic, SonicFoundary/Sony, Steinberg/Pinnacle, SGI/Cray and more and more. The designers of the hardware/software have nothing to do with those marketing deals. There's nothing new about it, you're ain't that British geeza who just discovered America. I think Columbus was his name.

PARDON?
Who are you to tell me about the morality of my quotes?
You better tell this to the music store mentioned above who's selling the same cards for the prices mentioned above. Is that morally right? To ripoff people like that? Exclusive-Distributors FFS?!! Post it on their forum and tell THEM what you think! Not me, i'm already losing lots of money for selling this equipement for such low prices.
Please think about the morality of what YOU typing before pressing the Submit button, thanks.

I've heard enuff different soundcards from cheapest Creative Audigy/Extigy ones to the hi-end DAC's from brands like Apogee, PrismSound and Lucid, i've heard the differences, i've heard the differences while those DAC's were driven by different WordClock modules, i've been there before. So give me a break.

C3PO stop hustling people. It hurts your credibility. You should know that saying "low low prices" and "I'm losing lots of money" are dead giveaways for shady deals.
While you're add it can you add a "R2D2 seal of guarentee"? |
