Where's the psychill on facebook? other than following your own favourite bands and labels that is.
Still find this a very good resource for discovering new stuff along with a few selected blogs.

I still like to read the blue pages often. But I moved into a small village with no internet connection and only can check isratrance a work. So I'm not always in the mood to do a posting.
Even if it has become a little quiet, isratrance is still a cozy place to be. A lot of friendly people and good new music to discover. I would definately miss it if it would go offline.

that was a hell of an idea DjSchofield! Maybe we should really start considering it
I think this place is always alive, it just chills out every now and then. Then some good cds get released and we wake up again.

Yeah, a conference and/or chillparty somewhere in the jungle, at the beach or preferably in the Himalayas would be nice ...
I tell you, when I get my holidays. Maybe February 2013. Of course Master Margherita will have to play a few sets there
We (maybe) only have one life. We should use it for extraordinary actions.

Sikkim .. of course!
I wanted to go there anyways and I could combine it with my North-East-India travel plans
At first we will need to figure out a date and the concrete location.
As a date I would suggest somewhere between February and April 2013. As a location: let`s see, who wants to participate and what are the suggestions. I think, that Sikkim is a fantastic suggestion!

Without the hints on isratrance, I wouldn`t own big parts of my music collection.
well said - same here. not dead - but working to much - and more into reading the blue pages these days, then posting.
sikkim is a bit to dry in'it?? - himachal pradesh would be nice or somewhere in the beautiful plains of uttar pradesh...
..and also don't think ambient or chill is dead, not at all, just shifting into new and also very interesting corners/places...

Sikkim dry? Can not believe that. It`s a nature paradise in the Himalayas.
Wiki: "Climate
Sikkim's climate ranges from sub-tropical in the south to tundra in the northern parts. The tundra-type region in the north is clad by snow for four months every year, and the temperature drops below 0 °C (32 °F) almost every night.[33] The peaks of north-western Sikkim are perpetually frozen.[37] Most of the inhabited regions of Sikkim, however, experience a temperate climate, with the temperatures seldom exceeding 28 °C (82 °F) in summer or dropping below 0 °C (32 °F) in winter; the mean monthly summer temperature is 15 °C.[38] The state has five seasons: winter, summer, spring, autumn, and a monsoon season between June and September. The average annual temperature for most of Sikkim is around 18 °C (64 °F).
Sikkim is one of the few states in India to receive regular snowfall. The snow line ranges from 20,000 feet in the north of the state to 16,000 feet in the south.[39] During the monsoon, heavy rains increase the risk of landslides. The record for the longest period of continuous rain in Sikkim is 11 days. In the northern region, because of the high altitude, temperatures can drop below −40 °C (−40 °F) in winter. Fog affects many parts of the state during winter and the monsoons, making transportation perilous.[40]"

Yep North Sikkim is really cold but also quite inaccessible by road and has permit issues so hard to think of a gathering way up there. The capital Gangtok is a nice rendezvous spot, good weather, lots of hotels and an airport coming up in the next year.

If only air travel wasn't so expensive; we could have a conference beachside somewhere in the tropics once a year... with tunes as well, of course.
