well were native american ((myself Cherokee, Desbah is Navajo & Seneca-Cayuga)) and we had her at a native hospital, so its totally commonplace for a family member to bring in a drum and sing traditional songs..i think they understood it as being the same principal from an ontological perspective..
growing up with and around pow wows and Greencorn, you really see its the same culture as "proper" psy gatherings..different tribes all gathering to celebrate life together by sharing food, music, dance, arts, culture and recharging oneself spiritually |
