got the mbase, juts played with it a little..so far it seems like a cool little box specially for techno as it can make good kick and bassline , the vco seems phat and can track pitch a few octaves.
it s not really suited for usual psy kicks, would recomened it more for techno,prog.. or if you are after something different than the usual psykick... it also have more meat and tickness and it s cleaner than what i mused in digital and what suprised me is how much abuse it can take with processing .
i uploaded the first preset i made trying to get something usable for psy,but not sure it s usable it s my first try and the thing have loads of setting to craft the kick (great to tweak with the bassline playing), thought me already some time to get there had some good fun with a k-bb bassline
tell me how do you find the sound guys, i made it on monitors that dont have low end no idea what it hapening down there .. maybe it sucks dunno it don't have any equing but it s compressed with slow attack ( around 8/10 db of compression a bit too much )

Ive got my eye on a Vermona Kick Lancet, if its anything like WOK's emulation KickWOrK, and it certainly looks like it, its capable of a wide range of different kick sounds. Plus, its got a 'Balls' knob. .

i m not sure i think it s the kick part of the drm mk3 , if yes it can make nice tech house kicks.
i experimented a bit more with the mbase i think it s quiet good for techno/hard techno and experimental music , it lack maybe some punch in the envelop.. it sound a bit soft but i like , it seems hard to make it sound agressive
for psy i need to use it more, with not much experience with it i got usable kicks similar to these tunes

with zebra or ub i have no trouble getting the kick sound i like in fullon but i have trouble getting the depth and meat as i would like, with the mbase it s the oposite, i have trouble to get the kick sound but the depth, thickness is not bad

Just saying, that if you are looking for analog kicks that you can get with not a lot of fuss (due to less parameters available, hence narrower palette of kick) for the same cash you can get the Doepfer Dark Energy. Not nearly as versatile as the mbase for range of kick sounds, but you'll get some proper thumping bass drums that will work well for psytrance and techno. And obviously on top of that you have a nice 1 VCO modular synth.
