just listening to his old stuff and to me it is more psychedelic then anything labeled psychedelic nowadays , I honestly cant stand any fullon and mostly all psytrance today sounds the same to me as it did 10 years ago just with better production. It does not take me to that special place anymore. So how can we label something psychedelic which is not to a lot of people anymore or is psychedelic music particular to each and everyone of us . Or is it particular to different mental states which we experience along our lives and as we get older more evolved psychedelic sounds are needed to achieve similar states of mind, for example like the tolerance we gain with drug consumption , or am i just talking shit ,I dont know. But Goa trance shifted to psytrance in a window of 6 years I believe so could it be that a similar paradigm shift should or will happen with all of the techno influence going on ,

You're not talking shit. You sound the same as me (and same feeling about snug as a bug). We have been etched with a deep psychedelic groove and it takes a lot to fill it. Much more than most of the silly music being produced today. Thank goodness there are some exceptions...

I really really miss those early days of minimal/prog psy...especially paps and the other creamcrop/databass/early pastik park stuff...ive always felt those artist embraced a
'less is more but still freaky" kinda vibe, but without the stylistic limitations that todays minimal psy artists place on themselves....

that kinda music was always goodfun to dance to, humorous and had its fair share of surprises...almost opposite of todays minimal/prog scene which have the same grooves same percussion everytime...soo predictable...even alotta the new zenon stuff that people rave about so much..sad really....

Fullon i dont even associate myself with...but other than that there is some interesting stuff...mostly coming out of scandanavia and russia           http://soundcloud.com/seer

I have that on vinyl
And it's one of my favourite releases of all time.

I couldn't agree more with all that was said here.
That style was fresh, original and very psychedelic.

I used to play so much of this sound.
Back in the days people weren't afraid of trying to develop something new, and I miss that.

P.S. I still have my Creamcrop t-shirt

Yes - Vibes From The Other Side was a major hit back then. Was also featured on "Halluci:Nations" from TIP-World with such amazing tunes like Atmos - The Only Process, Process - Blue Moonies, Voodoo People - 240V and Bus - North By North West. Deep, hypnotic, liquid, organic and very trippy morning music.

Probably one of my all-time favorite compilations.

By the way funny to see people nowadays complain that music today isn't as psychedelic as the oldschool minimal trance. Back then people were complaining that it was boring and certainly not as psychedelic as even older oldschool psytrance           DJ pr0fane (Iboga Records) | Multiphase
