Can someone please enlighten me here. I just cant seem to get it right/tight. Looking for the snare roll which leads from a kik with no bass to when both kik and bass kick it in together. Needs to be slighly long, 4 bars/ 16 beat, which is where i think i fall short with knowing what quantize progressions to use. Also from here i was hoping to make a few smaller variations on it emphasize my 1 bar fills more
I have been fiddling with it for a long while now and am not entirely happy with my results so was hoping anyone might lend a hand?
Also any tips/ pointers for using EFX on snare rolls would also be helpful.

i usually do a simple 16/th arrange in whatever length u want... 8 bars or even 16
and then bounce the entire thing and fade in the volume the way i want.
u can add some reverb on it from wet to dry or opposite or leave some wetness or nothing at all.
i think its important to pick the right sound for the snareroll, i usually do not use the same snare of the track because it doesnt sound "rolling" enough in my case.
u can ofcourse change the 16th into 32nds and 64ths as well in various times and escalations of the progression of the roll. i think its also important to keep some meat on the snare roll, dont cut it as much as u do your normal snare, it sounds better to me that way anyway.
